WHY DID I START THE VIXEN DOLLHOUSE HAIR CO.?

I have always had a passion for hair. I started doing my own hair in high school, wearing u-part wigs and sew-ins. Since then, I have gotten much better at doing hair, and I have become self-taught in sew-ins, wig construction & installation, coloring hair extensions, as well as cutting and styling hair. In late 2018, I thought about starting to do hair on the side or working in my cousin’s salon.

At the beginning of 2019 I lost my beloved godmother a week after my birthday, and it sent me into a spiraling depression for months. Fast forwarding to spring of 2019, I began to see a lot of young entrepreneurs starting successful businesses and encouraging others to “get a vendor and start a business”. Despite of a lot of my family members owning businesses, I never had the desire to have a business of my own.  

I then began to ponder on starting my own hair business and finding a way to merge my passion for hair with my newfound interest in entrepreneurialism.

These ideas made me so excited which has helped me to kick depression and get back to being myself- an even better me! Knowing my godmother is watching over me is what ultimately motivates me to get out of bed and give this business all I have! Thus, the birth of VIXEN DOLL HAIR
