What is an amino acid treatment?

Your hair is mostly built from a protein called keratin—and that keratin is made of amino acids (think: the little building blocks).

An amino acid treatment delivers those building-blocks back into your hair shaft, filling in weak or damaged areas, smoothing the cuticle layer (outer shell of the hair) and reinforcing the strand from the inside out.
