Why your bundles don't last as long as you want them to!

Hey Vixen Dolls! It's been a while but I'm back with another blog! A lot of you told me you prefer VLOGS, so you're probably here from TikTok or Instagram (@vixendollhair)! Keep reading for five easy ways to make your hair last longer!

So let's talk about it!

1. You don't store the hair properly when you're not wearing it.

It can be so easy to just throw the hair in a plastic bag or a corner and just forget it! The same way you would tie it up at night in your bonnet to keep it from getting dried out is the same way you need to put it up when not in use. Put it in a silk bag or a box by itself, or keep the packaging it came in so you can use this for storage.

2. You don't moisturize your hair to prevent breakage.

You should co-wash (which is when you wash your hair only using conditioner) every 2-3 weeks to have the softest, healthiest bundles/wigs. DON'T apply any products that have heavy oils; rather stick to lighter serums that won't weigh your hair down. After washing or co-washing, apply a small amount of leave-in conditioner and brush it through with a brush. Before styling, use a heat protectant serum or spray to keep it soft before applying heat to prevent dryness and breakage.

3. You're using excess heat in your hair.

USE A HEAT PROTECTANT BEFORE BLOW DRYING, FLAT IRONING, CURLING, OR PRESSING! Treat the hair as if it were your own! Don't do more than 2 passes on the hair with a flat iron or curling tool. Keep your styling tools BELOW 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Lastly, don't let your lace come into very close contact with your hot heat tools or it could tear the lace!

4. You're causing excess shedding when detangling

Remember to always detangle from the ends of the hair and work your way to the top! If you're having a hard time, wet the hair and use conditioner to work through the tangles, end to root. It adds softness to the hair as well!
